Lublin Upland and its attractions

This land is an extremely favorable area for the development of agriculture, so it is not surprising that its landscape is dominated by arable fields. Kazimierz Dolny The Lublin Upland itself was divided into 9 smaller regions. The most beautiful ones are the Lesser Poland Vistula Gorge, the Nałęczowski Plateau and the Zamość Padół. Due to the scenic qualities, the Lesser Poland Vistula Gorge enjoys the greatest popularity among tourists. This picturesque, groundbreaking valley reaches a length of about 80 km, while its width ranges from 1 to 10 km. It is accompanied by numerous, equally picturesque erosion valleys that have formed in the loess layer. Today they are an important part of the local landscape and a great tourist attraction. The Vistula Gorge of Lesser Poland is famous for one of the most beautiful Polish cities. This is picturesque Kazimierz Dolny, whose granaries are an extremely valuable monument. It is a memento of the times when the Vistula valley served as a trade route through which grain was transported. The Zamoyski Museum and palace and park complex in Kozłówka - Kamionka Wisła is not the only important river. Other well-known rivers, such as Wieprz, Bystrzyca and Giełczew, flow through the Lublin Upland. The Lubelska Upland is primarily arable land. Sugar beet and potatoes are the main crops, although wheat and rye are also very popular among local farmers. What attractions are waiting for lovers of monuments here? The Lublin Upland can boast of such beautiful and valuable cities in terms of tourism as Lublin, Zamość, Puławy, Kazimierz Dolny and Nałęczów. In each of them you can come across many important monuments. Kazimierz Dolny itself is a number of attractions. Among them is the town itself, with beautiful tenements and the already mentioned granaries. Zamość Kazimierz Dolny is also a picturesque castle hill and loess gorges extremely valuable in terms of landscape. Lublin also boasts numerous monuments, in which you can also visit the museum of the former extermination camp at Majdanek. Nałęczów itself, as a town and as a health resort, also deserves attention. Another attraction of typical sightseeing that the Lublin Upland can boast of is the Zamoyski Palace in Kozłówka. The real pearl of the Upland is Zamość - the most beautiful example of a Renaissance city in Poland. The old town, town hall and other monuments have been attracting tourists from all over Europe for years.
