The church was built according to the design of Mirosław Załuski, with the financial assistance of the Greek Orthodox Church in the years 2001–2007. Her solemn consecration was made by the leaders of the Greek Orthodox Church - Archbishop Chrystodulos and Polish - Metropolitan Sawa on May 20, 2007. The iconostasis and part of the internal polychrome were made by Mikołaj Koński from Lutsk in Ukraine. Icons for the iconostasis were written by Mirosław Trochanowski from Włodawa, a graduate of the Post-Secondary Iconographic School in Bielsk Podlaski. Outdoor mosaics were created by a team led by Mikołaj Kundel from Rivne in Ukraine.
