THE SYNAGOGAL TEAM IN WŁODAW is a unique in Poland complex of three Jewish buildings that belonged to the Włodawa kehilla (Jewish community). It consists of: the Great Synagogue (Beth Haseset, from Hebrew House of Congregations), built in 1764-1774 Small Synagogue (Beth Midrash, from Hebrew, House of prayer and study of religious books), from the end of the 18th century. (new bet ha-midrasz), from 1928. Since 1983, the above-mentioned monuments of Jewish brick architecture are the seat of the Museum - Synagogue Complex in Włodawa. Each of them presents permanent and temporary exhibitions. In the Great Synagogue, trying to preserve the atmosphere of these places, we only show exhibitions related to Jewish culture, in the Little Synagogue - with the multicultural history of the city and the ethnography of the region, ethnological and exotic exhibitions in the third building.
