Address: DW812 , 22-302 Krupe
The fortress was built at the beginning of the 16th century, and more precisely in 1492 by Jerzy Krupsky, the Korczak coat of arms. Originally it was a small castle. The next owner was Samuel Zborowski of the Jastrzębiec coat of arms and his descendants - Gnoińscy. Zborowski surrounded the castle with a curtain wall with wooden shooting porches. It is known that the castle then had 4 towers decorated with the Jastrzębiec coat of arms and a gate tower. In addition, the castle was defended by a moat, backwaters and a drawbridge. In 1577, Krupe became the property of Paweł Orzechowski, the Chełm castellan, who took over the castle and began its expansion, giving the building a Renaissance shape. The castle complex consisted of the headquarters and outer bailey. The main part of the castle, built on a square plan, was surrounded by an internal moat, and the outer bailey protected the walls with bastions, wetlands and ponds surrounding it. In the first stage of expansion, the north-west wing was created. The building topped with an attic had an arcaded gallery on both floors; on the ground floor with stone semi-columns, on the first floor with brick pillars. In this part of the castle there were representative rooms. The residential part was arranged in the adjacent western tower. The south-west wing - closing the inner courtyard - was built in the years 1604–1608. There were utility rooms on the ground floor, and on the first floor a table room, rooms and spacious rooms. This wing was also topped with an attic. The elevation was made in sgraffito technique, it was protected by a cordon cornice. The windows in rusticated frames were arranged rhythmically.
