The current building of the Orthodox church in Bończa was erected in 1878-1881. This investment was financed by the state treasury, from funds allocated for the construction of new religious buildings. In 1898, 1048 worshipers used it, it was a parish temple. The church represents the Byzantine-Russian style, in particular it imitates the seventeenth and eighteenth-century Moscow religious architecture. It is a three-part structure with a bell tower topped with a tent roof and a small onion-shaped dome above the vestibule, a single square nave crowned with one large onion-shaped dome and a smaller three-part altar room above which a smaller dome rises. In order to strengthen the associations with seventeenth-century Moscow religious architecture above the windows in the drum of the main dome and belfry were placed white arches in the shape of coconut trees, while door archivels and eye were supported on white columns. The altar room of the church is polygonal.
