The palace is located on Litewski Square in Lublin. Architecturally in the Baroque style, erected in the second half of the 17th century, according to the plan of Tylman of Gameren. The building impresses with cloisters embedded in the facade and a majestic portico above the entrance. Originally, the Lubomirski family was the owners and investors of the construction of the palace. In 1731 it fell into the hands of the Czartoryski family. He was one of the many mansions they owned. In 1812 Adam Kazimierz and Izabella née Flemmingów Czartorscy sold the palace to Marcin Łódź - Kobyliński, who leased it to a snuff and tobacco factory. The building was then purchased by the Warsaw banker Leopold Kronenberg to continue operating the factory. After the liquidation of the activity, the palace changed its owners every few years, which was significantly damaged. Also during the war, he was seriously damaged, among others, by fires. In 1944, the reconstruction and reconstruction of the building began on the basis of the design of the architect Czesław Doria-Dernałowicz and the rich exploitation of the palace. The original interior layout was restored, thanks to which it obtained a representative chakarter. The Tourist House PTTK was arranged in such a renovated building. In 1973, the palace became the seat of the Lublin Scientific Society and has remained so to this day.
